Meal and Kitchen
Meal
At breakfast you will find homemade bread, homemade apricot jam, honey from Faralya Village (made by the bees!), two types of cheese, three types of olives, fresher than fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, olive oil from Kabak Valley, eggs, Turkish tea and Nescafe. As well, you may order a special espresso or freshly squeezed orange juice to top off the best breakfast in Kabak!
The dinners at Reflections are exceptional: We offer six dishes, all vegetarian, including fresh watermelon or melon every night. Gunes, our chef, has cooked in Istanbul, Cihangir’s Manca, Sarimsak and Çorba & Cila restaurants, finally coming to Kabak Koyu and Reflections in 2011. Every night she creates wonders with a variety of vegetables, spices and other local products.
Dining is by candle light and gas lamps with an emphasis on using minimal electric light. For years we resisted adding meat to the lunch menu but finally gave in and you will find dishes such as Kofte, Chinese chicken noodles, Fajitas, as well as many other meat and non-meat wonders. For those with a never ending sweet tooth you can try the best apple pie in Kabak Valley.
Kitchen
Our kitchen was the first structure Chris designed and built with two of its arched walls almost completely open to its beautiful surroundings as well as providing a connection point with our guests. Feel free to hang out at the small bar in front, check out Chris’ excellent selection of books (English and Turkish) or to see what treats are being cooked up for the night.
